Bring the entire family in to learn and discover at our permanent, Michigan Native Butterfly House! The newest addition to Ray Wiegand’s Nursery and Garden Center features up to 12 species of native butterflies.

Enjoy witnessing all stages of the butterfly lifecycle. Learn what each butterfly species prefers for nectar and host plants, while hunting for their EGGS, CATERPILLARS AND CHRYSALIS. The Butterfly House staff will be nearby on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays to guide you through all stages of their transformation and provide interesting insight and fun facts.

Also, free PRIVATE Butterfly House tours are available for groups of 10 or more. Tours will be scheduled before or after regular Butterfly House hours. Call (586) 286-3655 to schedule your tour! Please allow one week for notice.

Please NOTE: Due to space restrictions, strollers are prohibited in the Butterfly House.
